I go to Saapaaduu for dinner at least once a month. Their food is delicious and always presented beautifully. We love the chicken lollipops, it’s coated with spices and always perfectly crispy. I’ve also had various curries, dosa and rice dishes. The food is spot on every time. They have the best mango lassis. The staff is wonderfully welcoming and warm. This place is a neighborhood gem.

The Ambur Mutton Biriyani was good. The portion size is huge. They were generous about the protein, which was great. Loved the chicken 65 and chai. The kheema dosa was good. I would have appreciated if they had smashed the peas in the Kheema, instead of serving it whole. I don’t know if that is something traditionally done in Tamil Nadu.

Second time eating at Saapaaduu and equally satisfied each time! Food is consistent and delicious. Both times the service was quick and servers are kind. We ate everything. It seems to be a popular spots for families. They have a big parking lot and small amount of seating. They offered tables outside as well, though it appeared to be more casual shared plaza seating with picnic tables.

This place serves excellent Tamil cuisine, with standout dishes like kizhi and kothu parotta. We really enjoyed the ambience, and the presentation with brass cutlery added a nice touch. The beach masala sundal didn’t quite impress us, but the kal choru was satisfying. It was our first time trying kizhi parotta - while unique, we found the texture a bit pasty and weren’t sure how much we liked it. The masala dosa was tasty, and the chutneys complemented it well. They also offer rotating specials, so we’d definitely come back to try more.

I recently visited Saappadu and had their Chatti Choru, and it was an absolute delight! If you are looking for that authentic, comforting "home-cooked" feel, this is the place to be. The quality of the ingredients really stands out. The Chatti Choru was flavorful and hit all the right notesβ€”it felt healthy yet indulgent. Every side dish on the plate complemented the rice perfectly. β€’ Taste: 10/10. Great balance of spices. β€’ Quantity: Very satisfying; the portion size is more than enough for a hearty meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderfulβ€”clean, welcoming, and has a great aesthetic that makes the meal feel special. To top it off, the service was excellent; the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Final Verdict: Highly recommended for anyone craving high-quality, authentic South Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely be back
